The 1984-85 season saw the 20th anniversary of Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe operations along with two new chairlifts. The existing Northwest Passage double chairlift was replaced with a new triple chair and the Galena triple chair was installed providing increased terrain for beginner and novice skiers. In 1985, “Around the World” was cut adding a new 2.5-mile-long ski run for a long relaxing cruise.
