Welcome to Mt. Rose Ski Clinics and Tours
At Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe, we offer a variety of clinics and tours designed to enhance your skiing experience, learn new skills, and enjoy the stunning natural beauty of our region. Whether you’re a seasoned skier over 50, a female skier looking for a fun and supportive group, or someone interested in learning more about the mountain environment, we have something for everyone.
Our Silver Ski Clinics cater to experienced skiers aged 50 and older, providing a perfect blend of social interaction and skill improvement. If you’re looking for a friendly and laid-back atmosphere, our Ladies Clinics offer just that, along with top-notch instruction. For those who want to delve into the natural wonders of Mt. Rose, our Mountain Naturalist Tours are an excellent way to explore and appreciate the area’s history, flora, and fauna.

Our Silver Ski Clinics are perfect for seasoned skiers aged 50 and older, from lower intermediate to advanced levels. If you want to enjoy skiing with friends and pick up some tips, these clinics are for you. You’ll learn modern movement patterns and improve your techniques with the latest ski and snowboard technology. We offer clinics for alpine skiers, telemark skiers, and snowboarders. Join us for a fun and enriching experience on the slopes!

- 9:30 am: On-Mountain Clinic
Participants will leave with new skills, friends, and a greater appreciation of the mountain.
Join us at 9:00 am for our weekly coffee session. We will discuss a range of engaging topics, including proper stance, upper and lower body separation, fitness, an introduction to gate training, ski equipment “tech talks,” and weather and snow conditions. After our coffee chat, we will head to the slopes to work through these discussion topics and skill progressions on the snow. Please note that topics may change based on weather conditions.

Ladies Clinics

Mt. Rose Ladies Clinics offers a fun and social atmosphere where female skiers and snowboarders of low-intermediate are looking for a fun way to hit the slopes and improve their skills. Check out the Mt. Rose Ladies Clinics! Whether you’re just getting the hang of skiing or snowboarding or already rocking the advanced runs, these clinics offer a laid-back and social vibe. Our super-friendly instructors are here to help you build confidence and fine-tune your technique while having a great time with new friends. Join us for some laughs and learning at Mt. Rose! to advance your abilities, gain confidence, and improve your technique in a supportive group setting.

The clinics are regularly scheduled on Thursdays to coincide with the Ladies Day Lift Ticket Special. Our PSIA-certified instructors will teach each on-snow clinic a weekly theme.
Join us for our weekly coffee session, where we dive into fun and valuable topics like balance, center of gravity, flexion and extension, ski equipment “tech talks,” and weather and snow conditions. After our cozy coffee chat, we take it to the slopes to put these ideas into practice and work on our skills. Topics may change depending on the weather, but learning and discussing are always exciting!

Mountain NAture tours
If you want to explore and learn more about our stunning region, Join the Mt. Rose Green Team for our Mountain Naturalist Tours every Saturday morning at 10:30!
Spend an hour on the slopes discovering fascinating topics like Mt. Rose history, trees and forest health, Sierra water and snow, and more. These free tours are a great way to deepen your appreciation for the natural beauty around us. We meet on the snow by the stairs at the main lodge. Check our events calendar for a list of upcoming tours.
There is no need to sign up—just be ready to go by 10:30. Participants should be comfortable skiing or riding intermediate terrain, and an adult must accompany kids. Join us for an educational and fun adventure on the mountain!
