LEARN TO SKI OR SNOWBOARD

If you’ve never skied or snowboarded before but think it’s time for you to get out on the slopes, this is your starting point. Learn the basic skills to kick-start your passion for skiing or snowboarding with dedicated and professional instructors.

Start Times: 10:00 am (Morning) 1:00 pm (Afternoon)
Arrive EARLY – 30min to 1 hour (best practice)
Lift Ticket: Beginner Lifts ONLY (Magic / Wizard / Galena)
Lesson: 2 Hour Lesson
Lift tickets and rental equipment are good for the entire day!
Ski Package: Skis, boots, and poles
Snowboard: Snowboard + Boots (limited slots – subject to sellout)

Learn-at-your-own-pace lessons (offered on weekends and holidays) focus on students migrating from one learning station to another (5 in all; Orientation, Slide, and Glide, Wedge and Stop Flying Jenny and Riding the Chair), allowing the guests to progress at their pace. This method allows for those individuals who master certain skills at an advanced pace to move quickly through the stations but also allows unlimited practice time for those having challenges in a given area to have ample practice time. Students can even take a break and return and rejoin a station at any time. If you are learning to ski and ride with friends or family, you can make the choice of whether to progress together as a group or at your own pace individually.

WHAT TO WEAR

Winter weather in the mountains can change quickly, so being dressed properly for the day is an important step to take before your visit. Here are some recommendations to ensure you have the right gear:

WE RECOMMEND THE FOLLOWING:
Dress in Layers
(always easy to shed a layer if you get too warm)
Wear a Helmet
Be sun smart – Wear Sunscreen & Lip Protection
Keep hands & feet warm (especially with young kids)
Avoid cotton socks
Don’t tuck your pants into your ski boots
Don’t wear sunglasses when it is snowing

(goggles work much better)
Stay away from non-waterproof outer layers
