Registration for all 2025/26 Ski Team Programs will open at the end of March to returning 24/25 Ski Team families only.
Registration will open to the general public in early April. Stay tuned for details.
Ski Team programs do NOT include a season pass. PREMIER OR CLASSIC PASS RECOMMENDED
NOTE: Ski Team programs do NOT include a season pass. A season pass is required for participation is Ski Team Programs. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED all Ski Team Members purchase the PREMIER SEASON PASS or the CLASSIC SEASON PASS*
*Athletes with a pass other than a Premier Pass or a Classic Pass must purchase a single-day lift ticket OR upgrade their pass to participate in Ski Team training days that may be ‘void dates’ associated with their purchased pass.
Children ages 6+ may ride the lift with another adult, not always with an instructor.

rippers
Rippers is our half-day All Mountain team, offering morning and afternoon training program options. The Rippers team includes skiers who are in the developing intermediate ability range and are also ages 6 – 9 years old. Rippers is a great option for younger athletes who are comfortable yet growing skiers and offers the flexibility of a half-day as an alternative to our full-day teams (Shredders, Freeride Ski – Development Team, and Freeride Ski – Competition Team).

Rippers Program
The Rippers team is designed for developing intermediate skiing ability athletes looking for season-long coaching in a fun and safe environment. Athletes in this program will work on developing their skiing skills through a structured and challenging weekly skills-based curriculum, learning fundamentals to increase proficiency and confidence.
In addition to improving their skiing abilities and skills, athletes will learn on-mountain etiquette, build camaraderie, and cultivate an overall lifelong love for the sport. The ideal candidate for this program is an athlete who can comfortably and proficiently ski all beginner trails (Green / Easier).
Objectives
Upon completion of the Rippers program, athletes should be able to:
- Consistently demonstrate excellent stance and balance fundamentals while skiing
- Ski making parallel turns (vs. ‘wedge’)
- Understand and apply the four skill fundamentals of skiing (Balance, Rotary, Edging, Pressure)
- Comfortably ski all easier (Green) runs and some of the intermediate (Blue) runs
- Demonstrate mastery of Phase 2 skills in the US Ski and Snowboard SkillsQuest curriculum

Conditions permitting the season will begin December 6 & 7, 2025 and conclude March 21 & 22 2026
There will be no training over the holiday periods of December 27 & 28, January 17 & 18, and February 14 & 15.

Requirements
- Rippers IS NOT a beginner’s program and is not suited for first-time skiers.
- Rippers candidates MUST be at least 6 years old on or before December 6, 2025. Fabricating age will result in immediate removal from Ski Team with no refund and disqualification from future Ski Team registration.
- Rippers candidates should be strong “beginner spectrum” to strong “intermediate spectrum” skiers.*
- Rippers candidates must be able to comfortably ski beginner (GREEN / Easier ) trails and are progressing to intermediate (BLUE / More Difficult) terrain.*
*Rippers program candidates will be tested for skiing ability at the beginning of the season. If the athlete does not meet the minimum skiing ability requirements, the athlete may be reenrolled in an appropriate alternative program (pending availability) or registration will be canceled with full reimbursement less a $100 processing fee.
Shredders
Shredders is a great option for strong intermediate skiers who are right in the ‘middle’ – not quite ready to hit the advanced terrain of steeps or bumps, but ready to move beyond the easier runs on the mountain. Our Shredders team accommodates a wide range of skier abilities and is geared towards athletes who are excited about developing their skiing abilities and taking the next step towards skiing advanced terrain.

Shredders PRogram
The Shredders team is designed for the athlete who is ready to take their strong intermediate skiing skills and abilities to the next level and begin tackling advanced terrain. Shredders athletes will develop their skiing skills through a structured and challenging weekly skills-based curriculum designed to improve technique and build confidence on variable terrain and snow conditions.
In addition to improving their skiing abilities and skills, athletes will learn on-mountain etiquette, build camaraderie, and cultivate an overall lifelong love for the sport.
The ideal candidate for this program is an athlete who can comfortably and proficiently ski intermediate trails (BLUE/ More Difficult) and some of the advanced runs (BLACK / Most Difficult)
Objectives
Upon completion of the Shredders program, athletes should be able to:
- Consistently demonstrate excellent stance and balance fundamentals while skiing
- Ski making parallel turns while properly using poles
- Understand and apply the four skill fundamentals of skiing (Balance, Rotary, Edging, Pressure)
- Comfortably ski all intermediate (Blue) runs and some of the groomed advanced (Black) runs

Freeride SKI – Dev
The Freeride Ski – Development Team is for the advanced serious skier, who wants to be able to ski the mountain from top to bottom, boundary to boundary, and everything in between. This is the perfect team for the athlete with eyes on competing in Freeride or Race in the near future but needs to tighten up their fundamentals and technique to build their confidence so they can safely go big and fast.

Freeride Ski – Development Team

The ideal candidate for this program is an athlete who can comfortably ski advanced (BLACK / Most Difficult) terrain and has mastered all necessary intermediate skiing skills on a variety of challenging terrain and snow conditions.
Objectives
Upon completion of the Freeride – Ski Development Team program, athletes should be able to:
- Understand, apply, and consistently demonstrate use of the four skill fundamentals of skiing (Balance, Rotary, Edging, Pressure) while skiing advanced and varied terrain
- Comfortably ski all advanced (Black) runs in any conditions (i.e. new snow, bumps, crud, hardpack)
- Demonstrate mastery of Phase 4 and some Phase 5 skills in the US Ski and Snowboard SkillsQuest curriculum

Freeride Board – Development Team is for the developing serious rider who wants to be able to tackle the mountain from top to bottom, boundary to boundary, and everything in between. This is the perfect program for the athlete who has mastered the basics but wants to take their riding to the next level, tighten up their fundamentals and technique to build their confidence so they can safely go big and fast.

Freeride snowboard – Development Team
The Freeride Snowboard – Development Team focuses on advanced all-mountain riding skills on all groomed and off-piste terrain on the mountain. The ideal candidate for this team is an athlete who can comfortably ride advanced (BLACK / Most Difficult) terrain and has mastered all necessary intermediate snowboarding skills on various challenging terrain and snow conditions.
Objectives
Upon completion of the Freeride – Snowboard Development Team program, athletes should be able to:
- Understand, apply, and demonstrate TTPP (turn, twist, pressure, pivot) relating to board control in advanced and varied terrain in all conditions
- Improve and develop riding stance suitable to individual, demonstrating competence in advanced terrain
- Comfortably ride any black terrain in all conditions
- Develop appropriate downhill tactics related to fall line, safety, control, and uninterrupted travel on a snowboard. Includes navigating obstacles (ie trees, rocks), choosing appropriate lines, reading terrain in advance, and planning exit strategies

Freeride SKI – comp
The Freeride Ski – Competitive Team will focus on developing athletes’ Big Mountain and Freeride skiing skills. This will prepare athletes for participation in the Tahoe Junior Freeride Series (TJFS) and International Freeskiers & Snowboarders Association (IFSA) Freeride and Big Mountain competitions.

Freeride Ski – Competitive Team
The Freeride Ski – Competitive Team focuses on advanced and expert all-mountain skiing on all groomed and off-piste terrain on the mountain. This is a non-racing program.
Freeride Ski – Competitive Team athletes will train to participate in local and regional Freeride qualifiers and main event competitions upon qualification. Athletes will learn and practice techniques aligned to the five judging/scoring categories of Freeride competitions: Line, Control, Technique, Fluidity, and “Style and Energy”.
The Freeride Ski – Competitive Team will provide athletes with instruction on using correct fundamentals and techniques in all terrain types and conditions.
Training will also include progressions on terrain park features. Athletes will learn basic grabs and rotations (no inverts) utilizing terrain park jumps and sliding hard features, including rails and boxes. Progressions start at the entry-level on each feature.
Competitions/events will be shared with athletes and families as they are announced. Separate fees apply for those choosing to compete, and coaching support will be provided at competitions to support athletes.
Objectives
Upon completion of the Freeride Ski – Competitive Team program, athletes should be able to:
- Understand, apply, and consistently demonstrate mastery of the four skill fundamentals of skiing (Balance, Rotary, Edging, Pressure) while skiing advanced and varied terrain
- Comfortably and with technical proficiency, ski all advanced (Black) runs in any conditions (i.e. new snow, bumps, crud, hardpack)
- Demonstrate mastery of Phase 4 and Phase 5 skills in the US Ski and Snowboard SkillsQuest curriculum
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the IFSA competition standards and be positioned to competently compete in future competitive IFSA Freeride events

The season will begin November 15 & 16, 2025 with dry-land training continuing until conditions allow for on-snow training.
