SNOW DAYS at mt. rose

Because the best school days don’t always happen in a classroom

At Mt. Rose, our field trips aren’t just fun — they’re built with purpose. Each field trip experience is aligned with NGSS and Nevada Academic Content Standards, giving teachers an easy, engaging way to reinforce classroom learning with hands-on, real-world application. Whether you’re covering ecosystems, energy, weather, physics, or physical education, our programs connect directly to your goals — and leave students buzzing with excitement long after the bus ride home.

Learn to Snowboard
Who says snowboarding has to happen on the mountain? Mt. Rose brings the excitement straight to your school with a mobile “Learn to Snowboard” program designed for P.E. classes and elementary learners. Using safe, indoor-friendly equipment, students practice stance, balance, and movement in a fun, low-pressure environment — no snow pants or lift tickets required. By removing weather and gear barriers, kids build confidence and foundational skills that make transitioning to the real snow smoother, safer, and more exciting.

It’s snowboarding made simple, supportive, and seriously fun.
