At Mt. Rose, our field trips aren’t just fun — they’re built with purpose. Each field trip experience is aligned with NGSS and Nevada Academic Content Standards, giving teachers an easy, engaging way to reinforce classroom learning with hands-on, real-world application. Whether you’re covering ecosystems, energy, weather, physics, or physical education, our programs connect directly to your goals — and leave students buzzing with excitement long after the bus ride home.
curriculum
Whether you’re teaching kindergarteners or high school seniors, Mt. Rose has a snow day built for your classroom. Our field trips serve grades K–12 with both indoor programs brought to your school and outdoor experiences on the mountain. Younger students can explore balance and movement through learn-to-snowboard lessons or tubing, while older students dig snow pits with ski patrol, track water systems, or shadow real mountain professionals. From physical education and science to career and technical education, every trip is designed to be active, engaging, and aligned with your curriculum. And if you have a unique learning goal, we’ll work with you to customize a program just for your class.

Grades K–3 | Indoor at your School
Learn to Snowboard
Who says snowboarding has to happen on the mountain? Mt. Rose brings the excitement straight to your school with a mobile “Learn to Snowboard” program designed for P.E. classes and elementary learners. Using safe, indoor-friendly equipment, students practice stance, balance, and movement in a fun, low-pressure environment — no snow pants or lift tickets required. By removing weather and gear barriers, kids build confidence and foundational skills that make transitioning to the real snow smoother, safer, and more exciting.
It’s snowboarding made simple, supportive, and seriously fun.
