HALF-DAY PROGRAM Ages 6-9 (age 6 as of 12/1/18) $55o – SOLD OUT The Rippers skiing program is designed for children who need more challenging training than the Rosebuds children’s program provides. Children in this program will develop their skiing through a fun and challenging weekly curriculum, learning new techniques to increase their confidence and skill level in skiing intermediate terrain. They will also have the opportunity to train and race along side the Shredders, introducing them to the next-level program. Program Details The ideal candidate for this program is a child who can ski intermediate terrain with minimal stops, including the following runs at Mt. Rose: Kit Carson, Lakeview, Mine Train, and Sunrise Bowl. Program participants must also be able to perform the following: Get their skis on with minimal assistance and use ski poles With their skis on, stand and move around without falling Ski in a gliding (small) wedge and stop without falling Load/unload on the following chair lifts with minimal assistance: Wizard, Galena, Northwest Magnum 6, and Blazing Zephyr 6 Effectively communicate with coaches without parent assistance Program Includes Premier Season Pass 1 weekend training day per week (Sat or Sun) Team Jacket* Calendar 2018-19 Program starts: Dec 1/2 Program ends: Mar 16/17 No organized coaching on the following holiday weekends: Christmas Dec 22/23 New Years Dec 29/30 MLK Weekend Jan 19/20 President’s Weekend Feb 16/17 Schedule Saturdays 9:30 – 12:30 Sundays 9:30 – 12:30 Uniform Team Jacket* Black Pants (not provided) Helmet – Snow Specific (not provided) Meeting Area: Main Lodge Releases Click to download the Safety Release Packet.
