The LAKEVIEW EXPRESS LIFT & TERRAIN EXPANSION PROJECT IS UNDERWAY
Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe has embarked on the $7.5 million dollar project.
Estimated to be the largest capital improvement project in the resort’s history, the new lift will be a key piece of Mt. Rose’s efforts to enhance the overall experience in the “Lakeview Zone.” The plan includes trail additions, existing run improvements, and new skier traffic patterns. The expansion is expected to be complete ahead of the 2022-23 winter season. When completed, the Lakeview zone will offer even greater access to beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain and help give skiers and snowboarders of all ability levels a more enhanced mountain experience.
We are focused on offering our guests a high-quality experience every time they come to Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe. This is why we continue to invest in the resort’s infrastructure year after year.
the new views
Enjoy expansive Lake Tahoe views from the top of this new high-speed lift with access to beginner terrain without having to ride Northwest Chair to the summit.
4-minute ride time
The high-speed detachable quad cuts 6 minutes off of the previous ride time which means way more time on the snow.
The increased capacity (now 2,400 people per hour) will add comfort and improve traffic flow from the upper mountain and reduce lower-level skiers on the Northwest Chair.
NEW ACCESS to terrain
The new chairlift is longer than its predecessor and rises 1,056 vertical feet, giving better access to new and existing runs.
This second high-speed chair on the main side gives you more choices for your next run and a better flow of guests across the mountain.
