Better Control = More Confidence = More Fun
Beginner
(90 minutes. Improve your turns and discover
green runs)
OK – you’ve skied or snowboarded before, maybe a long time
ago, but it’s not your first time on the dance floor. Let Mt. Rose
build your confidence by developing your skills to
vary the size and shape of your turns, improving
speed control and maneuverability on the easiest
green slopes. You will continue to develop your turning
skills and confidence, and learn more about adapting to changes in terrain
and snow on the green runs. Package includes lift access (Ponderosa, Galena, & Flying
Jenny), rental equipment, and instruction. Lift Ticket and Rental Equipment
may be used all day.

skills. These classes focus on control on a little bit steeper blue runs
and the movements necessary to initiate parallel turns. Package includes
lift access (Lakeview, Ponderosa, & Galena), rental equipment, and
instruction. Lift Ticket
and Rental Equipment may be used all day.

/ advanced workshops (90 minute group lessons)
Beyond the Blues Workshops - Move beyond intermediate skiing by skiing
on groomed blue and some black slopes as you develop the necessary skills.
Short radius turns, carving, pole use, rhythm, and small bumps are common
lesson themes.
Season pass holders may enjoy complimentary mini-clinics on
Saturdays and Sundays at 9:15 am in January and February. Improve your
skills and have a more enjoyable mountain experience by skiing/riding any
type of terrain. Intermediate clinics meet at the top of Lakeview chair
and Intermediate/Advanced skiers meet at the top of Blazing Zephyr.
All Mountain Workshops - Smaller bumps, shorter powder
runs, more open terrain and lots of instruction for
skiers and riders somewhat new to off trail skiing
as well as those who just need more practice and
feedback before moving up to more challenging situations.
Does not include lift ticket.
